Meeting Update

Hagewood Water System, Inc. Board of Directors and members/customers met on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church located at 361 Shady Grove Road, Natchitoches, Louisiana to vote on the consolidation with Bellwood Water System, Inc.  John Bynog, board president, explained that the sole purpose of the meeting was to consider and vote on the consolidation with Bellwood Water System, Inc.  He eplained that everyone would be able to ask any questions regarding the consolidation after hearing from Mr. Tony Tillman, lawyer for the consolidation and from Mr. Heath McGuffee, engineer for the project. 

Mr. Tillman explained the process for consolidation, the benefits and the need.  Mr. McGuffee explained the Water Sector Project grant that would fund the construction necessary to complete the project and the timeline.  Members were then allowed to ask questions.  Once all questions were asked and answered, Mr. Tillman called for a vote by having members raise their hands.  If a member had two meters in their name then they were told to raise both hands.  Board president and vice president counted the show of hands twice and determined 33 voted yes for the consolidation with Bellwood Water System, Inc. and zero voted no.  Therefore the members present voted unanimously in favor of consolidating with Bellwood Water System, Inc.

As the project progresses members aka customers will be kept informed.
